Gondal Heritage

ચંદુબાપા ના વંશજ પાંચમી પેઢી પણ પહોચી ગયા. થોડા દેશમાં તો બાકી પરદેશ માં! ત્રિજી પેઢી ના સંતાન ને બા બાપુજી યાદ હશે, પણ મોટે ભાગે બા દાદા ના સ્વરૂપમાં જ. મોટા થયા પછી ચંદુબાપા ની પહોચ,  કૌશલ અને સિધ્ધી નો ખ્યાલ થવા માંડ્યો, પણ ચોથી અને પાંચમી પેઢી નું શું? એ બે અને આવનારી પેઢી ને આ વારસા ની જાણ કેવી રીતે થશે? એ પેઢી ના બા દાદા ને યાદ હશે એટલું કદાચ વાર્તા રૂપે કહેવામા આવશે, પણ વિસ્તાર થી જાણવાની ઉત્સુકતા થાય તો કોને પૂછવું? અત્યાર નો જમાનો ઇન્ટરનેટ અને વેબસાઈટ નો છે, એટલે ત્યાંજ વાતો મૂકીએ - જોકે અંગત રૂપે જ મુકશું - કુટુંબી જણો માટે જ. બસ એક કોયડો રહેશે! ગુજરાતી વાંચી શકશે? ચોથી પેઢીમાં તો ગુજરાતી બોલી તો શકે છે, પણ લખી કે વાંચવાનું શક્ય નથી રહ્યું. એટલે ભાષા પસંદ કરો અને ચાલો.....

Chandubapa,  father to four generations, is an ancestor to be proud of! Not so much of reflected glory, but the realisation that ones heritage is rich and relates to many attributes of your parents and grand parents in Chandubapa's lineage. Fifth generation has been arriving for a few years, and previous generations are in India, the US, SIngapore and Australia. there will be some retelling of time with Ba and Bapuji in their grand parent roles, but what of Bapuji's accomplishments and community contributions outside the family format? where will you go to find those gems? These are times of the internet and websites, so that is where we will  put them - private access for family only. Things are what they are for later generations, who speak Gujarati but can not read or write it, and this aspect will be increasingly English centric. Hence the stories will be Bilingual - so, choose your language and GO!
